so, is 's only killer app ? - after x years of having VR - PC, Go, Quest 2, this is the only (99%) thing I ever play now.

(Maybe the odd 360 fractal environment video)

@rich My "killer apps" were VRChat, Elite Dangerous, Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, Blade & Sorcery, and Phasmophobia, I never got into beat saber. (the ones I come back to the most often being phasmo, and Elite)

@rich I feel like there's so many interesting games in the Oculus Store, but it doesn't help that everything costs minimum £15.

I'm looking forward to Blade and Sorcery but I believe that's still being worked on.

@afloofdev @rich Blade & Sorcery is a weird one, it's been in early access for 6 years and had like a 4 year gap of it not being worked on much, then suddenly HUGE patches adding tons to the game. Even the original launch though where it was just fighting arenas was a blast however, it's just so unbelievably fun holding off people attacking you from multiple sides, and the physics lets you do crazy things, like you can literally grab someone and pull them in front of you to block an arrow

@afloofdev @rich I also love how freeform the combat is, like in a pinch you can just grab a chair and beat someone down with it, or light your sword on fire and throw it at someone. I'm not the biggest fan of the new levels, mostly because the climbing is jank, but i'd love to see more games use it's combat style.

wear exercise clothing if you play it though, every time I do I end up drenched O_x, even without the weight of a sword it's still a hell of a workout

@rich @afloofdev i mean, if you want to talk missed opportunity, I do wish I had some skill with 3d modeling because I have no idea how nobody's made a game like Black & White for VR yet, the platform and controllers are practically made for it, being able to move the world with your hands, pick people up and assign them tasks, etc.

@raptor85 @rich How amazing would that be? I'm looking forward to the future of VR, I bet there's a lot of creative projects waiting to be made.
