@BryceWrayTX G183 is clear that an additional visual cue is needed, which is hover. That Technique was written prior to touch UIs so is functionally useless in many contexts. For example, I could not distinguish your links on my phone.

I encourage you to use an underline.

@aardrian On phone-size screens, I already have different styling (no web fonts, which I failed to mention in the original version of the post) so I perhaps could just extend that to include underlines on smaller screens — although I do wonder how sites such as Wikipedia get away with non-underlined links on phones. :thinking:

@BryceWrayTX I find Wikipedia infuriating on my mobile. Not just for all the collapsed content that prevents find-in-page.

Also, FWIW, I have touch-only devices at desktop screen sizes — my Surface Go, for example. Screen size is not a perfect proxy for touch.
