phario, Maybe in an idiot but is that really precision joinery? It looks like simple butt joints…?
Don’t get me wrong I think it’s pretty. But precision joinery I associate with more complicated joints.
Transform2942, Maybe my standards are lower. I’m also referring to the sliding fit of the lid which may be called something else

I see kind of a rabbit/ dado for the lid- that’s a joint! and look at the butt joints they look picture perfect. It’s great work, and this woodworker made it look easy.

The_Cleanup_Batter, It’s amazing how a literal 3d wooden rectangle with a sliding top can show off craftsmanship like this. Very pleasing to look at.
