why does a progressive party leader oppose policies that protect the health of people, and favour those that push climate change?

@adwright 100%! Blair was only allowed in by Murdoch and co in 1997 because another Tory government was simply impossible.

His pact with the robber barons was for him to be allowed to be PM and he let their robbing of wealth continue unchecked.

Starmer's highly visible meeting with Blair was a signal for the oligarchs.
