It was a beautiful demonstration of love and resistance. I'm so proud of them & everyone arrested. Riot police and soldiers encircle protesters locked down together in the center of Speer Blvd. Protesters watch from the sidewalk. One holds a cardboard sign that reads, "Cease Fire Now." A rally of people. One holds a sign, "Jews Against Genocide. Free Palestine." Another holds a sign in Hebrew and English that reads, "I'm a Jew too demanding ceasefire." Another holds a red tissue paper poppy flower. Anti-zionist Jews wearing "Not In Our Name" t-shirts sit in a circle, locked to one another in the middle of the street. People stand in a circle around them in support.
