A quick report from the #MetaConnect#Metaverse event which I watched via the AWESOME POWER OF #VR!!! May have gotten a bit excited there - no idea why…
I’ll talk about the horizon worlds experience in a moment - first however I feel I must comment on just what a spectacularly terrible public speaker Mr Zuckerberg is. I genuinely thought that he’d lost the teleprompter or forgotten what on earth he was on stage for at one point. The point was about 3 mins in to the event.
But what was missing from this utterly shambolic presentation of this new bit of technology, was any sort of explanation as to WHY any of this is of interest or compelling in any way.
At this point I shall divert to my experience of the tech, for I am an owner of #MetaQuestPro headset. From that there eBay at about a 3rd of the original list price. It’s… interesting. It’s also half finished. At they’ve spent what? 10 Billion on this #metaverse malarkey?
