As I’m not a parent, I don’t tend to seek out “family-friendly” events, but I’m a sucker for lots of little children in hockey jerseys, and they were certainly in abundance at the Churchill Square #Oilers watch party yesterday afternoon/evening. It’s fun to watch them half-enjoying the hockey and half-enjoying all the other fun stuff kids can get up to at an event like that (running around the square, big toys to play with, food trucks, watching happy chill adults enjoying the game, etc.) /1
I'm going to be going out of town soon, so I won't get to experience another one of those unless the #Oilers are still in the playoffs when I get back (hey, it could happen!). But apparently the city will be continuing them, and if the people-watching opportunities in such an experience appeal to YOU too, I recommend this free and fun event to all and sundry (even folks who aren't huge hockey fans). /2fin
