... And a lower res Version of it developing!

3-Body-Problem Fractal:

3 Stars, one Planet. Each Pixel corresponds to a initial velocity.
The RGB-Channels show how close the Planet has gotten to each of the stars.

Fractal developing at 1000 iteration steps per second. It looks smooth and gloopy except for some parts the look like interference. I think those happen if the planet speeds up so much that the iteration steps are too big.

November's High-res Render for Patrons of Level Square and up!

5120×2880
We are in a Trisolar System with a planet at a certain starting point. For each pixel the planet has a different initial velocity. The rgb values are bigger the closer the planet got to the corresponding star within 70000 iteration steps.

For my November Theme "of Planets and Stars" I struggled to create a good high res render for my Patrons of Level Square and up.

The heat charts that were my main focus didn't really look that intriguing as stills. So I worked hard to add wind to make it look more interesting. But after letting it render over night it failed to develop interestingly, so I did a 180°.
I dug up my 3-Body-Problem Fractal code and refactored it so it wasn't so infuriatingly slow.
I'll let the high res image simmer for another 30h, it should reach complexity > this test image.

Doing some recon without the slowing atmosphere.

Looks rather chaotic...

The inhabitants of the green planet call the blue star the Arbiter. As it is the Arbiter of Change at every perihelion of their sun's orbit around it, when it tugs at the planet's orbit. How is life there?

A good eon for this planet.

At some point the pull of the twin star will nudge it out of its orbit.
But not for a long time, don't worry... That's a tomorrow problem!

Two yellow twin stars orbit each other, in there middle balances a blueish hot dwarf star. The planet orbits one of the twins in the exact habitable zone, leading to agreeable temperatures.
