I’m in the PNW! I am also very surprised to see them so early… I thought they would be ready closer to like end of July. We have lots of very happy bees around our neighborhood and my neighbors also grow lots of fruits, so maybe that helped?

Why are my sunshine blueberry’s leafs turning hard and black? (lemmy.world)

Basically the question above. My legacy plant growing in the same pot is doing just fine, but the Sunshine seems to be struggling. We’ve been getting a lot of rain lately so I haven’t been watering as much, is it just thirsty? Should I give it some fertilizer? I’m in Zone 8a and planted them about two weeks ago....

My sister is visiting the state for the first time, so I’m taking her to do some of the touristy stuff (Pike Place, Starbucks reserve, mopop, etc), but I’m trying to think of some great places to take her outside of that scene! We’ll spend a day or two in Fremont, but she’s not 21 yet so bars are off the table. Any suggestions? Maybe an orca tour? I don’t really get out much, so I’m not sure where all the fun non-bar things are!

I’m looking for anything out there that could help me navigate grocery stores in Japan? Maybe an Anki deck for food labels with proper kanji? I also liked Jonas Quinn, but it took a second rewatch to get over the guy wrenching despair I endured at Daniel’s death/ascension. Absolutely gutted me, I was too mad to enjoy Jonas after that. But after the second time I agree, Teal’c became more with him than he did when Daniel was part of the team. Part of me wonders if it was intentional on the writers part, like “oh we have this big gap where character was, let’s fill it with two characters instead of just replacing one”? Or if it was just kind of naturally their interactions were more fluid.

I absolutely love Michael Shanks! Daniel Jackson was my favorite character for most of my first watch. I can’t wait to get to that one, definitely one of the ones where the actor really gets to flex his skills.

Not sure if this is quite what you’re looking for, but I like getting the O’food gochujang bottles. They’re convenient cause you can just pop the cap and squirt a little onto whatever you’re making for some fermented spice. Also everything from The Japanese Pantry has been absolutely amazing! I get my soy sauce and sesame oil from them. Siete Enchilada sauces are awesome, I’ll pour half a jar of either the red or green into enchilada/taco soup. Or even simmer some jackfruit in it for tacos.

When I’m feeling lazy, I’ll sometimes mix a jar of Muir Glenn tomato sauce into one of my jars of marinara I make from scratch to double up.
