Asayhem,

For sure, there’s no need for any fuss, just keep quietly taking all the corporate bs as always. Next time when you’ll need to submit an income form just to access a microtransaction-riddled single player game - just use your parents bank account statement, no need to use your own. And when you’ll need to enter a fingerprint id to unlock your multiplayer account - just ask your friend to help out.

It’s a modern day privacy, apparently. Someone think of those poor companies barely getting by just by selling you the game, the least you could do is share your personal data for them to sell too, better yet get locked into their ecosystem for a long term milking.

Asayhem,

Hey man, if I wanted to be on patreon - I’d already be on it. Either post a comic, or just a self promoting link and be clear about your intentions, but please none of that half locked tease.

That being said, best of luck to you, from what little I was allowed to see - the comic itself must be fun.

Asayhem,

Switched to sunshine+moonlight from steam remote play. Works much better, especially on low end clients. And as a bonus you have full access, not just for steam.

Asayhem,

It’s basically a self-hosted stream that moonlight connects to within your network. github.com/LizardByte/Sunshine/releasesYou still need any and all software that’ll actually be running on the server, but you can use sunshine either for streaming particular applications from it or just as a general all purpose remote access tool. So it’s like Parsec, only FOSS and imo works better too.

Alex Jones is profiting from his new game on Steam — while refusing to pay the Sandy Hook families he defamed (www.mediamatters.org)

Following his trial for defamation of the families of the children and school staff killed in the Sandy Hook massacre, conspiracy theorist Alex Jones is using Valve Corp.’s Steam, the world’s largest digital distribution platform for PC games, to sell an Infowars-themed video game. Jones claims to have earned hundreds of...

Asayhem,

Or maybe they don’t see it’s their place to gatekeep the store based on their own morals. If you start - where do you draw the line? Some examples like such games may be obvious, but there will be a lot more that are less so.

If people disagree with the message - nobody forces them to buy it after all and you can block any game from even showing up for you in the store, in my opinion it’s plenty enough from the valve’s part. I’d rather be the judge myself as to what I want and what I don’t want to see and play, rather than any corporation.
