AstronautOnEverest,
  1. Vintage typewriter - still looking into brands and such as there are so many up for sale on the market. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
  2. Reed diffusers - a not-too-expensive splurge. Lavender would be nice.
  3. A pretty suncatcher to hang on my window and take advantage of all the sunny days we’ve been having
AstronautOnEverest,

Thank you for reminding me that I’m long overdue for a Farscape rewatch. Watching it in 4k sounds like a dream. Last I checked, it was available on Prime but the quality was even more grainy than my old DVD sets.

AstronautOnEverest,

I recently started watching Earth:Final Conflict, and it’s a lot more interesting than I thought it would be. Has anybody here ever watched it?

Had to take down our sister server, lemmyloves.art for the time being.

I am very sorry to those who use that instance. I am hopeful to bring it back up again sometime, but for now it must stay down as I cannot reasonably deal with two instances during these ongoing issues with lemmy. I cannot mentally deal with the toll of having to deal images on both instances.

AstronautOnEverest,

@gabe I really love what you’ve been doing with both instances. I hope to see lemmyloves.art come back sometime soon, but not at the expense of your mental health. Please take care of yourself first and foremost.

I did want to run a suggestion by you. What if you consolidated lemmyloves.art with literature.cafe to create a single art and literature themed instance? A lot of artists are also writers (and vice-versa) so there is enough overlap between the two areas for this to be feasible. It would be easier on you, and lemmings would benefit from having more posts/communities on one instance instead of them being spread out across two. Kind of like Mander, which is focused on many disciplines from STEM and the social sciences.

Just some food for thought.

AstronautOnEverest,

Until someone invents time travel, the best way to travel back to the 90’s is this song.

AstronautOnEverest,

Truly an iconic song. Fun fact: although best known for being the theme song of House, Tear Drop was also featured in the penultimate episode of Prison Break’s first season.

AstronautOnEverest,

I just bought a dozen pencils from the Hi-Uni range and I’m super excited to try them out. I’ve heard so many good things about them from fellow pencil enthusiasts.

AstronautOnEverest,

I cycle between Coke Zero, Liquid IV and coffee-flavoured frappes (have never been able to get into hot coffee, unfortunately).

AstronautOnEverest,

I haven’t had the best luck with Elmer’s either. You can’t go wrong with Uhu’s acid-free glue sticks. Sadly they’ve become way over-priced here in Canada, so I’ve switched to Pritt’s. I mostly use them for sticking photos, ticket stubs or printouts in my journal.

AstronautOnEverest,

So beautiful. Just looking at this photo makes me feel calm & relaxed. How/when did you first get into plants, OP?

AstronautOnEverest,

A timeless classic. 2Pac was taken from us too soon, but he still managed to make so many great songs. Until the End of Time in particular, haunts me to this day.

AstronautOnEverest,

I still know all the lyrics to this one! Such a fun song.

AstronautOnEverest,

Really enjoy the calm & relaxing vibes of this song. Probably my favourite Mariah song, along with “Someday”.
