Almost done with Pikmin, only a few remaining ship parts to collect and I have plenty of days to do it.

Edit: down to the last part but I’ll finish it off in the morning.

Minecraft Story Mode. My kids were too young to remember it the first time so I’ve been playing that with them. Not long started so I hope to finish episodes 1 and 2 this weekend.

Yeah mine have really gotten in to Minecraft this year and while searching for other games I remembered Story Mode and that I never finished all episodes.

I’m going to move on to Pikmin 2 next. We are waiting for 4 but my wife is definitely going to get in there first!

1-4 are all great. This one I’m reading now was a slow starter for me, probably because of the character changes, but I’m starting to enjoy it more as I go.

I’ve been on a city building binge with Banished, Frostpunk and Ostriv this week. I do really like the smaller scale survival type ones.

Welcome back to the hobby.

I see someone else posted a good link explaining how to cycle a tank with & without fish. I think it’s a safe bet that most of us have been in this scenario at some point! Doing a fish-in cycle like you will be doing is not ideal but as long as you get the basics (test kit and dechlorinator) and keep on top of things daily you’ll be fine.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, I think I was expecting more of a murder mystery but it turned out to be better than that. Highly recommended it.

Music wise I feel like I’m late to the party with Idles but they are so good. Ultra Mono is a quality album.

Brown algae isn’t harmful in itself but it does mean something is out of balance, like high nitrates and areas with little or no water movement.

I wasn’t a sub on CasualUK but I did like the daily threads so I’m happy to go along with the Reddit way. TV, games, pets, hobbies, complaints, Monday mornings etc are all good.

I’m sad Silo has ended but every episode was excellent. I didn’t realise it was based on a book series so will probably read those while I wait for season 2.

Futurama is coming in a few weeks so I’ve been watching from the beginning. It’s been a long while but so far so good.

I'm going to finish Pikmin and then start Pikmin 2.

I'm feeling a real nostalgia hit at the moment for the GameCube so hopefully I can get stuck in to some favourites too!

Why am I seeing duplicate posts from different instances but the same communities? (lemmy.world)

I'm seeing the same post from the same user posted in the same community but it seems to be delivered from multiple instances. I have the show all option turned off. Can't figure out why I'm seeing multiple, a good example is when you sort by top of day and you'll see a lot of duplicate post grouped together....

So this morning the dog got out when I went to the car and tried to bring home a huge fox poop in his mouth. Managed to stop him but then an hour later he got revenge and ate my breakfast when I answered the door...

This is the first tank that got me back into fishkeeping as an adult. It has been running for two and a half years with various plants coming and going. There must be like 8 swords in here that I've grown from one mother plant. The thing has produced at least 20 decently sized swords that you'd see at the store....

Pikmin was released on Switch last week so I've been playing through that. Almost finished 1 and looking forward to starting 2 soon.
