I am surprised not to have seen more discussion of this – or maybe I just missed it? It's pretty rare for any philosophy papers to be caught up in any publication ethics issues. To be clear: I've not read either of the papers mentioned.

@philippsteinkrueger @pjw @anteagle What's the angle? It would seem to me that what would be useful is a post about "what counts as 'redundant publication'?" And such a post would be better if it included more than one example from a few years back, and if it included commentary from people who had read both papers. If you're up for looking into it and reporting back, please let me know. Thanks.
