In the KDE store I find only one analog clock widget with day or night colour theme choices. There is one other strange steampunk or something such clock design....
I currently use lightly as my qt theme, but some applications like Dolphin, and Kate don’t fit the style. Is there any way I can make it look like this? Is there a fork that I don’t know about? If not, can somebody help me with making one?
After upgrading to Plasma 6, whatever I try, it forgets Ctrl+Alt+T after restarting the session twice (!). Each time I have to open system settings and bind it to Konsole again and it works fine until the end of the next (!) session....
This is becoming a fucking pain in the ass, and it’s going to be the final and only reason I end up moving away from it. WTF, makes me feel like I’m back to using Windows. How the hell can I avoid Nobara tampering the firefox welcome page every week?...
I’ve always just used konsole or gnome terminal. Never really looked into what else is available. Tried cool-retro-term the other day, but the novelty wore off pretty fast for me....
I’m currently applying to jobs. I’m using Libreoffice to write my CV and cover letter, export them to PDF via Libreoffice’s export function and send them out....
Just wanted to check how people felt about the app purely from a performance point of view. Is the app smooth? Do you notice a lot of fps lag? Are certain parts of the app more laggy than others?...
Hey guys! Trying to understand what developers actually do to create a yet another distro, or what are the differences between existing distros. Lets say we have ubuntu and fedora. What are the differences? Excluding DE, Installer, theme, installed packages/libs and package manager. They both are FHS compliant, both running...
I wouldn’t compare void and nix since both of them follow very different approaches. Void is more like a traditional distro while nixos on the other hand uses configurations for setup.
And no you can’t use void on nix os as said above. Hannah Montana linux and kubuntu uses Ubuntu as the base that’s what he meant.
If the same void package exists in the nix os repo then sure. You can’t use a void package in nix os is the thing I would like to point out other than using distrobox.
I’ve been running Linux Mint under XFCE for a while now and I am growing tired of it. I originally had cinnamon which I did not really like so I decided to go with XFCE and customize it to my liking....
It’s fine for the most part. Just keyboard shortcuts won’t work in default and theming is slightly difficult. You have add extensions to gnome to increase functionality.
One of the few things that differentiates the major distros is the package manager. I’ve been running void on my laptop for the last 3 years and love it. XBPS is super fast and easy to use. It has never left me with a broken system either. That said, I’ve got the itch to switch....
Went with Arch and Fedora simply for the parallel downloading. I tried xbps , the only turn off for me was the fact that feature was missing otherwise void is best to stick with.
These darn icons are pissing me off and there’s not a whole lot i can find in the settings. So on the right sys tray, the bluetooth and network icons are perfect; that’s how I want ever icon to be; perfectly sized, it’s clear and detailed, it looks proper; same with the date and clock. The notification, wifi, and battery...
