Clarification needed. There are a lot of downvotes here. Are people downvoting because they don’t like the subject or are they downvoting because it’s a bad link not worthy even knowing it exists. In a Skeptics group a lot of what will be posted is stuff people don’t like. It harms the group if batshite being brought to our attention is downvoted. It will cause people to not post.
The Garbage Ape is an old “modern” Heathcliff character. He was there in spirit and effigy in the May 12th comic, in person on March 22nd, but otherwise only about three times a year recently. It’s good to see him back spreading garbage cheer.
You ever read a paper, understand what it says, but still walk away thinking “those are certainly all words”? It’s like they wanted to make sure that every sentence was packed with layers of subtext, spoke to people with enough knowledge to understand and summarize it, but would not be able to quote any five words in order from memory.
They use magic that just works. They don’t need any understanding of the processes because things are so user friendly they never had a rigorous cleansing through fire in order to figure out where things were broken like Gen X had.
If you think it’s bad now wait until AI destroys all the entry level skills and it becomes impossible to get experience to master something that AI can’t do.
