I don’t know that I trust a “spoiler-free review” to not spoil it to the point that I will be annoyed about some reveal or other, so I won’t be watching, but that’s a good sign!

Trust me, that is so much better than colonoscopy prep. Between what you have to drink, how much you have to drink, and the fact that every single drop of shit comes out of your body over the course of a 24 hour period is hellish.
Honestly, this is probably the best outcome that could come out of this. I’m not sure what the number of citizens has to do with anything. Why would it be bad to let them become citizens if they want to? The U.S. also has plenty of room and they’ll be paying taxes. We’ve also taken in large numbers of asylum seekers before. That’s why Ilhan Omar is one of the best women in congress.

That may very well be so. I did not get that impression from the first book, but, as I said, it was the only book I read and maybe it was clarified in the sequels.
By the way, my father was a similarly privileged to go to a prestigious British school on scholarship despite coming from a poor background and had nothing but bad things to say about it, so that does color my judgment a little.
