I just wanted to say that with the last two/three updates Memmy has become even better! The user experience is great and my Lemmy journey is a lot more pleasant with this app
In the few short hours since I started using #Threads, #DuckDuckGo has already blocked over 200 data tracking attempts. These include things like “headphone status” and “screen density.”
As per title, what app are you currently using? Why do you think it’s the best one? I’ve seen a lot of app being developed (just to mention a few: Mlem, Memmy and Thunder) and I can’t decide what to use
Having worked at a company that had a massive influx of GDPR requests we weren’t prepared for, this one could actually cause them some trouble if Reddit don’t have that process properly automated.
I think that for iOS there is only one app and it's called Mlem. It's under development therefore it's a little buggy but for me it's totally usable. On [this page] (https://join-lemmy.org/apps) you can find all the information about this app
I recently made a post about potentially setting up a Plex server or something similar because my Kodi streaming setup so so bad. Then I started thinking there has to be a better way to stream. I thought I would try this before setting up a server....
I've been looking at Lidarr for when I finish transferring my media server to a new system this month, what I am unsure is how difficult it would be to downgrade my 650 FLAC album library down to 320kbps....
Plexamp automatically downgrade the bitrate of your music when streaming via cellular. By default it uses an OPUS codec with 128kbps bitrate. If you still want to convert your FLACs into mp3 you can check Foobar2000, it's free and has a lot of options for converting music files.
If you just want to learn Linux and you have never tried it, maybe before buying an expensive PC just for the sake of having a pre installed Linux distro, you should first try Pop!_OS in a VM. You can as well install Pop_OS! for free on an old PC. If you feel comfortable and want to support System76 then buy one of their machines, but first I'd try it
