This morning driving the carpool we saw a bunch of blue lights at the intersection where the kids lifelong friends got hit by a driver. It was a t-bone crash that also probably wouldn't have happened if the city had installed hardened centerlines 18 months ago. The vehicles came to rest inches from the crosswalk where high school students cross to access the bus stop and it happened at the time they are there to go to zero hour. I am so tired.

@ai6yr You can buy the supplies for hardened centerlines from Home Depot for less than the cost of the property damage to these two vehicles. Parking lot bumpers with lagging bolts for asphalt cost.... $70. Add some paint and some delineator posts and we're struggling to come up to $1000. In a month I will receive my records request with all the city's records related to "centerline hardening" and "hardened centerlines" and see what their deal is.
