Norifumi Suzuki’s seminal pinky violence (erotic actioner) flick starring Reiko Ike and Christina “One Eye” Lindberg. Sex and Fury was an obvious inspiration for Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill movies, and it contains an awesome sequence where Ike fights a group of baddies with her sword… completely nude. LaurenceWolse, (edited ) to bmoviebonanza in Hollywood Boulevard (1976)

Joe Dante (🙌🏻) and Allan Arkush’s entertaining B-movie about B-movies. Hollywood Boulevard is simultaneously a satire of- and a love letter to La La Land/low-budget filmmaking. A few more stills…

Again, have fun watching! :)

Ah, my bad then! It has been a while since I have seen the movie, so I don’t remember the minutia. This still is up on IMDb. 🙈

I’ve heard that a lot got censored in DE back in the day. I hope that has changed now.

Yeah, a lot has gotten easier in the age of streaming, but it hasn’t been all progress: we have definitely lost the human element/connection along the way. People who were passionate about movies and (tv)shows, telling others about it. It’s a real shame.

The Traumathek looks like a great place. You’re right, they’ve got a great offering. It warms my heart to hear that a place like this is still going strong.

Ah, Köln… das bedeutet dass wir im Grunde Nachbarn sind. Grüsse aus Holland! :)

Which was composed by Manfred Hübler and Sigi Schwab. The song The Lions & The Cucumber appears on the Jackie Brown soundtrack as well.

On a sidenote: Jess, himself, also composed music for the Spanish cut of the movie. He was an accomplished musician.

An artsy sexploitation movie from the king of artsy sexploitation movies, Jess Franco. Vampyros Lesbos stars the late, great Soledad Miranda, uncle Jess’ OG muse.

Jess is a filmmaker that is dear to my heart, having seen more than half of the 170+ movies that he has made.

Oh, Erotic Nights of the Living Dead, that’s a great one! All of D’Amato’s Dominican Republic-shot movies have such a vibe. I love them!

I miss the video rental/store days…

For sure! It’s such a shame that Gemser quit acting after the death of her husband, because she always had a wonderful screen presence.
