Anyway, thanks @evoterra for my first shot of adrenaline this morning. Hopefully one of few today, but the way things have been going, who the fuck knows? 🤷😂
Voting for the AudioVerse Awards ends tomorrow, January 2. If you like #audiodrama, please vote. My name is on there somewhere as a finalist, but just vote for who you like.
Vote for... well, vote for whomever you want. There's pretty much zero chance I win this thing and a lot of talented names up for the same award, including some of my castmates. If you vote, vote who you like. If it's me, well, thanks. 😀
@ITradedMyEyes yeah I might feel that way if I hadn't binged it all over two days. I do like the slow pace though because it's relaxing and you can afford to miss a detail or two without falling behind.
The Mastodon instance I've been on for the past year, as a user and as a moderator, just announced that it's shuttering in 3 months.
As with all of the users on the instance, I have the option of migrating to a new instance in that time. The thing is, for a little while now, most of my limited bandwidth for this kind of social media has been focused on BlueSky (@ajfidalgo.bsky.social). The main draw to migrating would be keeping my post history (particularly my #dungeon23 series and my VA sound treatment project), but that's not an option. So I don't think I will be migrating. I'll probably go down with the ship.
I'm going to miss a few people that I have interacted with pretty much exclusively here: @evoterra, @chgowiz, @Tim_Eagon, @amIoldyet, @james. You can find me on BlueSky, if you want to.
@evoterra@james I think it feels intense if you're unfamiliar because you're trying to take in a firehose of information at once. When you learn how to control the flow of the water, it ends up being a lot more manageable and less scary.
But hey, diff'rent strokes and all that. If it's not your thing, that's fine! I wouldn't want to drink all those hoppy beers you're always on about, either. 😂😂😂 but I'm glad they make you happy!
@chgowiz@MrF@evoterra@amIoldyet@james Same here! I hear that bridging between the two services is going to work in 2024, but in any case, the Fediverse will always be here!
