Crossing the tracks at Kettner and Ash St in downtown San Diego on the way to Shino Sushi. Amazing hole in the wall sushi place with no website. Worth the walk!

Today I found this pair of table lamps designed by F.A. Porsche for LUCI circa 1983. Love this design and sort of rare to find in person in the US. my local modern furniture store just got them in and I took them immediately.

Strong geometric shapes and light in 2 brightness levels adjustable via a rotary knob in the base.

They’re in incredible condition considering they are 40 years old and they fit so well with all my other pieces.

Super lucky find today!

New home theater setup! Sony OLED with custom Black Ocean Audio speakers made in California. The real centerpiece piece is my lucite opposing V black/clear table base with a slab of glass. I found two matching bases at a local vintage furniture store. The enameled cabinets are from the 70’s made in Michigan.

Then of
Course a pair of Knoll Barcelona chairs to sit back and enjoy Rebecca or Gilda for the evening.

New place is coming together.

From beach isolation to Little Italy downtown San Diego.

Making the move over the last 2 weeks to my favorite neighborhood with all my favorite restaurants.

Setting up the new place with my 80’s post-modern furniture pieces I’ve collected over the years and can finally utilize the space appropriately. Very excited for the change of scenery but I’ll always miss my beach sunsets.

I’ll be moving from my storied home of 6 years (Imperial Beach, CA) to downtown. I’ll miss this place with every bit of me and over the years I went from “you’re crazy to move here” to “you’re crazy to leave here”.
