The whole situation has been absolutely absurd, honestly. I can’t believe that the entire community hasn’t shunned every single modder who actually put their name to that insane “petition”.

It reads like an immature attempt at authority. Here’s hoping it’s forgotten swiftly, and those who signed are made to feel silly for even supporting such a childish view.

I’m avoiding everything about it. video game movies are generally a misrepresentation of the source material entirely. so I never have hope for any video game movie. and borderlands is a franchise I actually really love.

and after seeing the cast, I think it’s going to be a disaster. 😭

I experienced this exact same thing and I was never able to find a solution, unfortunately.

I ended up just installing Java edition (prism) with a mod called controlify and that’s been working very well.

been hitting Dragon Age Inquisition hard since the controller fix proton-ge workaround got released.

it looks beautiful in handheld and when I play in docked I’m noticing that textures look nicer than they did on my Xbox.

such a fun game. 🤘

I’m with you. I couldn’t get the keyboard and mouse rebind to feel anywhere close to comfortable.

I have only ever played DAI with a controller. So I was very happy that I found the proton-ge version.

I’m in the same boat as you are. I have moved all my gaming and emulation fully to the steam deck. It’s just too damn easy to just pick it up whenever.

and yeah BG3 I have to put on hold every now and then cause it just will rip time away so fast. I just get lost in it.

with a bit of teaching what to avoid and having the proper perspective, I don’t see why it’s a terrible thing.

I didn’t say to keep kids away from it. I said teach them how to be safe while online. The internet can be a fantastic resource for kids in most circumstances.

by your logic, walking down the street is dangerous for a child so obviously the solution is to never let them walk down the street ever. rather than walking beside them and teaching them how to be smart and avoid dangers.

the phrase “social media is bad for kids” is too broad for it to really mean anything without context anyway.

if you want to look at it that way, most things that exist are bad for kids.

what is ironic is there’s a version of 19 that easily allows the transfer of all your stuff from one instance to another. upgrading could help lighten their load and not have so much overloading traffic and downtime.
