I’d really hop on the bioengineering front and make bioluminescent trees in order to find a middle ground between light pollution and general pedestrian safety from drivers at night.

These days a lot of kids just speak English

(I mean, at least in the Metropolitan area) Earlier I waited in line at a shop in Helsinki and behind me was a large group of schoolkids, all various people of colour and all speaking American English with each other. It’s a fairly common occurrence in Eastern Helsinki and makes you feel like you’re in the US or Canada...

Finnish is a cool language. The linguistic nerd in me is a bit sad at that. Tried learning it at one point cause me dream was to see Sonata Arctica in their home country. I tried for a couple years, but to no avail. Also, that band totally fell off. Like, holy shit.
