I don’t have an iOS device so I can’t be 100% sure, its all well and good that people are talking about the privacy problems with Threads, but doesn’t Apple’s privacy page say exactly the same things for Instagram? Why is Threads in the limelight for abusing user privacy like its a shock when Meta’s other apps also do exactly the same.

Probably the only way monitisation would make them move is if discord forced a subscription. These are people who don't really care about ads or data collection.
Signal is extremely viable got chats, voice/video calls and stories, almost 1:1 with Snapchat, only problem is no one wants to move, because theyre too comfortable with what they use, there'd need to be a mass walkaway like Reddit just had to get most people to budge.
I really want Nintendo to make a more powerful system next. One that can handle the detailed creation of 3D space, so we could have Mario Maker 3D and make worlds for Super Mario 64, Super Mario Galaxy and hell, later down the line release Mario Kart Maker. Alas, that would mean Nintendo listening to fans, and well, do they do that?
