Are there any recommended resources for studying for RCSA and RHCE Certifications?

Hi there, I will be taking, Red Hat Certified System Administrator and Red Hat Certified Engineer Certifications after the summer and am looking for some worthwhile resources to learn from. Anyone have any recommendations for this? I will get access to some “offical” resources from my work later, but want to brush up - up...

Sunny,

I wouldn’t see why not? Ur getting 22 books at the price of what one or two of them would have cost normally. Imo it’s a bargain and as someone who’s starting to work in cloud / open source within the next few months I’m defo happy to see this deal available! Have also had really good experiences with the books published by no starch press 🙌

Sunny,

Yeah that is always the scary part these days… Do u know if that was specific to No Starch press?

Sunny,

All of them really nice, but the second one looks the most natural to me. The darkness and the contrast of gold is superb 🙌

Sunny,

Wow this is a bargain! Thanks for sharing 🌻

Why does this happen to some of my games? (slrpnk.net)

title really… got a few games where this oldschool TV error shows instead of the actual main screen, the same happens with Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen. It’s a super weird thing, as before this appears the actual loading screen is present, but this error-image just decides to slowly fade in…?

Sunny,

It was indeed this! Thanks :)

Sunny,

Proton-GE fixed it as pointed out in the comments!

Sunny,

Damn this got me laughing a lot 😅

Cameractrls, software to control your webcamera - available as Flatpak (flathub.org)

I had personally been looking for a way to control my Logitech C930e Camera on Linux, but was struggeling to find something that would actually connect to the camera AND be able to adjust the levels of zoom and focus. Fortunatly I was able to stumble upon this project called Cameractrls! It’s a very simple and straight to the...

What's best practice in this scenario? (slrpnk.net)

So I’ve got this Monstera plant thats been with us for a while but recently got attacked by these tiny tiny black insects that keep eating the leaves. I’ve actively tried to get rid of them as well as screening this plant away from the rest, but the insects seem to always come back. I’ve just read that it’s possible to...

Sunny,
  • www.myanonamouse.net (private tracker but relatively easy to enter as they have open interviews each Saturday and Wednesday if I remember correctly)
  • InternetArchive
Sunny,

This is much better indeed! 🙌

Sunny,

Both of them are really well made imo, however the green/white one should be turned around to become an S, as pointed out in the other thread. Either way, would be very happy to see either of these logos get adopted!

Sunny,

Thanks for sharing, a few tips I wasn’t aware of actually! Only part I would personally switch is Bazzite instead of Nobara.

Sunny,

Curious Archive has some extremely good videos, this is one of them. Have been subbed to him for a while, truly quality content!

New homeowner, just sorta winging it... (lemmy.world)

Having never owned a house or really had a yard of my own, I got pretty excited and decided to do some ad-hoc landscaping. Built some raised beds for vegetables, and just laying in some organic shaped in-ground beds for low water decorative plants. Gonna fill the rest in with gravel. Any pointers?

Sunny, (edited )

Not a homeowner myself yet, but one nice thing could be to out down gravel that’s walkable barefoot. Idk about the rest of peeps, but I used to live in a house that had quite sharp gravel and it was almost obligatory to walk with shoes. If I were you I’d go with some light coloured shingle that’s nice for barefoots. Just my first thought :)

Please do keep us posted with updates of how this turns out!

Sunny,

I also love the connection between the gutter into the flower/herb bed too! Although maybe a “better looking” solution could be something to look into in the future. Great work!

Sunny,

Holy shit, username checks out! You’re absolutely mad (in the best possible way) 😅. Thanks for sharing this extensive list. A lot of neat projects you’ve got going on, am quite jelous 😊
