@dango_ No? “Zionism” makes absolutely no sense as used in the UCI encampment’s demands. A simple substitution of their usage of the term with its meaning will demonstrate this. Unless of course they are referring to Jewish organizations and individuals with mainstream Jewish beliefs, which they know they can’t get away with saying. I’d rather they just be honest!

@dango_ I’m surprised that anyone would be surprised by that. “Anti-Zionism” (to the extent that it actually means anything today) is basically a fringe movement among the diasporic Jewish community and has consistently been such since the Holocaust, heavily overrepresented in young, online circles. The idea that a Jewish summer camp in the U.S. (or even a Jewish Community Center) would somehow not be “Zionist” or disregard any ties to the modern state of Israel is practically unheard of.
