a1tb1t,

Have you found a local or nearby trans support group? They’d probably have the best recommendations…

a1tb1t,

I found mine via my therapist. But also try googling “trans support groups near me”…it’s surprisingly fruitful (pardon the pun).

a1tb1t,

These are all my thoughts, too. I have nothing to add though…

my parents might actually be accepting!

So, today I went for a vaccine and my mom took me as I’m a minor and after she was given a questionairre. There was a slot for my gender and instead of checking male she asked if I’d rather tick non binary. I’m cis so this didn’t matter much but it gives me hope that I might be able to come out some day....

a1tb1t,

Critical thinking isn’t anti-religion. Religion is anti-critical thinking.

a1tb1t,

Most religions specifically dissuade people from thinking critically. I recall my time in my Jesuit high school, where any questioning of the tenets were frowned upon.

The basic concept of faith is to accept something which can’t be proven. It is antithetical to critical thought.

I have spent years learning about religions of the world, as I recover from my religious trauma. There are very few which truly encourage critical thought.

a1tb1t,

Most jobs work that way. A job has a set pay, and you can get fired or promoted. Tipping is unusual: A janitor doesnt get paid a different amount each paycheck because of how clean others feel it is this week. Cashiers who help you find things in the store don’t make more that day.

a1tb1t,

Ooh! Looking forward to it. I hope he wrote songs about his anxiety & struggles that he's spoken about more in interviews more recently.

a1tb1t,

Indeed! He looks just like this piece of art my in-laws have in memory of one of their parents. We didn't expect to get a rooster, much less such a beauty!

a1tb1t,

100% agreed! If only he'd be a little more friendly...

a1tb1t,

Not a guy, but thanks

a1tb1t,

Hot Tuna's Yellow Fever would be one of my favorite covers in our collection. Though there are so many good ones...

a1tb1t,

Hot Tuna totally slaps, check them out!

I.... may have anger issues

I've had a 'passion' for programming for all my life, but recently I've been getting into a very, very emotional state over stuff like tooling and small things like that. The smallest things make me go off these days, and I feel so tired after every discussion. Feeling like I am in the wrong or that I don't know what I'm talking...

a1tb1t,

That pit inside you won't be filled by accomplishments, at least it wasn't for me. The only peace I found was by accepting I'll always feel that pit, and that I don't need to try and fill it. The pit is an illusion, you are already valid!

a1tb1t,

...an appeals court ruled that CIMA, the acronym for the nonprofit that runs the park for the Peruvian government and administers the carbon credit project, had been improperly added as a co-defendant in the case. The appeals court threw out the ruling and with it the benefits ordered for the tribe, citing “the presence of insurmountable defects both in due process and in the motivation of the judicial decision."

What a ridiculous reason to throw out a ruling.

a1tb1t,

Send me a sample of what it sounds like, maybe we can work it in!

a1tb1t,

Thanks! Spread the word. We're collaborating on bandlab
