Just ran into my first false positive on Netflix’s password crackdown😝 At the airport and it says my phone isn’t recognised but it can text or email me a code. Text and email are my wife’s who is home asleep. So no way to prove I’m a legit member of the household. So no using the service we pay for at the moment. Is it weird that I’m more excited than mad?

Fun update! Eileen woke up and sent me two text message codes. They just kept kicking me back to the warning screen. So no Netflix for me!

Now on airplane WiFi and tried logging in on Safari and it worked haha. No code needed. That forced me to the app which then let me in just fine. Some kind of bug I think.

@MisuseCase @objectinspace @pch minor point but all TikTok US user data is already subject to US subpoena and surveillance. It’s managed by a separate company called USDS which has the Committee on Foreign Investment in the US on its board. So that part was achieved already.
