To head it off: Yes, there was still “an event” at the white house to observe the holiday. Attended exclusively by white house staff. So I assume that means muslim employees of the president attended “the event”.

that’s kind of my take on the situation, yeah.

edit: you know, it would just be rude,. to deny the president, . who is also your boss. edit2: can you imagine? ‘we couldnt get anyone from your community so we’re canceling the event, but we’ll still do it 8D for youu’. Like whooah wooah woah il put good money that this sequence of events is not what those staffers signed up for.
