Hilarious that Europeans jerk off the GDPR when it explicitly excludes law enforcement and "national security" while making small start ups have to jump through a ton of expensive and complicated hoops that mega corps can just whoosh away

@sun I don't know but I'm guessing they don't. There's probably something in there about that. They do want small start ups to have a designated Data Protection Officer though who can't have a "conflict of interest" with senior management.

In a small start up, basically everybody is senior management lmao

@sun @kaia @mrsaturday in the UK this was and remains common. Sunday shopping laws on the books, it was extremely bad if your electricity ran out on a Sunday as you’d have an entire day without electricity until you could go to the local shop for a top up card
