At Lock 3 in Akron, the event and festival spot in Akron now undergoing a major reimagining.

Lock 4, a short walk from Lock 3, Looking North as the canal turns the corner and heads under north-side Akron where it will head down a series of locks as it drops to the bottom of the valley and meet the Cuyahoga River which provided water for the trip to Lake Erie.

We spotted a few princesses downtown today. There was probably an event or movie at the Theatre but we forgot to look at the marquee. This princess in pink poses for mom who snaps pictures.

Sam and Mario did a 2-mile trek at Silver Creek park in Norton at noon. It’s a nice park with all sorts of topography. It starts below the damn at a small fishing pond then heads uphill through dense woods landing at a small farm at the top. Then the path goes downhill through a pine forest and uphill through a forest with all sorts of trees. There’s a small prarie field at the top. Downhill goes through forest again touching the bottom part of the prairie ending back under the damn.

The bridge over the stream coming from the bottom of the damn in some deep woods again.
