Sam and Mario did a 2-mile trek at Silver Creek park in Norton at noon. It’s a nice park with all sorts of topography. It starts below the damn at a small fishing pond then heads uphill through dense woods landing at a small farm at the top. Then the path goes downhill through a pine forest and uphill through a forest with all sorts of trees. There’s a small prarie field at the top. Downhill goes through forest again touching the bottom part of the prairie ending back under the damn.
The recovery begins. Long walk this morning. I went only 2-miles but it took a long while picking up trash along the way. Turns out my muscle problems were medication related. It’s still too early to tell if the knee is permanent garbage. So I started slightly flexing the ankle when walking which impacts exactly on the place the knee hurts. I’ll now try to build up all the muscles around the knee to see how well it works.
Climbing the step ladder, I poked my head over the gutter and mama Robin gave me a nasty stare before flying off in a fury of flapping wings yielding a big surprise. The gutter cleaning project is tabled for now.
@bBuck@otterlove We have mourning doves that have been nesting on a pillar of our front porch for the last few years running. There’s nothing like peering up to meet the indignant, beady-eyed stare of a nesting mom who is clearly trying to convey, “Do you MIND?”
Sam got another walk in with dad. 1.5 miles. I did 2 miles earlier. We saw 3 airplanes, 2 helicopters, lots of birds, some fish in sunny spot of a small stream and a kite.
