I had to use both since I don’t own a nice camera or lenses. I think exposure time was around 6 seconds. If you darken it by 2EV, it should be close to how it looked to the naked eye

Yes, fully open aperture, long exposure (6"), and high ISO. I tried to recover the yellows that were (much) more apparent to the naked eye, and this made it look more saturated

I would suggest checking “sold items” on eBay (there’s a filter for that, or add &LH_Complete=1 to your link). You’ll see that body-only Canon M10 cameras are actually being sold for around USD 180 or GBP 145. Those that are more expensive usually include lenses or other accessories. Sellers can always charge how much they want, but whether listings will be successful is a different question.

Eventually, you might wanna keep it as a “compact” camera to use when traveling light. I usually advocate towards never hoarding stuff you likely won’t need, but in this case maybe your dad would appreciate sticking to DSLRs. This is very personal and my opinion only, so ultimately it’s up to you

Yes! I also think that it’s really cute. I miraculously got four good shots of this little guy and had a hard time deciding which one it looked the cutest. Ten minutes later, I got a picture of a steller’s jay showing off its crest that I liked too and just posted!
