@sim @graf @noyoushutthefuckupdad i get you point, i don't like this quantification of representation too. the current guidelines according to which only gay actors may play gay characters and all these quotas for representation are awful for the profession of acting. my problem is not representation itself, but that it is forced recklessly onto every show, no matter if it fits or not. i believe many consumers don't care about details. they are fine as long as there is some representation and they can feel progressive after watching the show. this feeling of being on the good progressive side is part of the product that they're selling. it's like overpriced fair trade starbucks coffee
