Honestly, this is very annoying for me as I use an incandescent bulb to keep my well pump just above freezing during the winter months. I believe that one of the largest problems that we’re up against is the fact that many politicians in the US are creating a self fulfilling prophecy where they are creating the biblical end times that they believe will trigger the rapture. This combines with the profit motive of corporations controlling government policy to prevent any actual progress, and you have one of the largest economies in the world that will likely continue to kick the can down the road on clean energy creation at a level that can cause change. This is all occurring while climate change is likely to accelerate faster than many accepted worst case scenario models as we’re seeing this summer.
