So when was purchased I joined Mastodon, Post, Spill, Spoutible and BlueSky. Post is going belly up on 5/31. I left Spill because of members policing the way I engage on social media. If I wanted to be critiqued and criticized in my downtime I could go read my course evaluations. Now spam complaints on Mastodon?? I may need to just delete everything except the dark place.

So am I being extra sensitive about this spam complaint email? Well yeah probably. But see at the end of a long exhausting irritating school year. Also just completed my 20 th year of being an engineering professor so happy anniversary to me! My nerves are shot to singles and it feels like this came out of left field. I love and let live. @drcaberry I meant autocad :D but then you don’t use it or use it for something else.

Blender 3D utilizes lots of math (obviously). But my thinking was based on a misunderstanding/ false assumption that you use 3D software.

I did not come out if this very well, but the main thing is, 20 years 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 and haters can go 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Unfortunately, you can be doing everything right and some folks will still complain because they’re projecting their own issues onto your work. They also have the option of not following you! But some people can’t seem to stop hitting themselves. I don’t understand 😱.

Anyway, I hope you stay. Congrats on 20 years of teaching! That’s hard work, especially if you care about the students, which you obviously do!

@drcaberry Do you post a lot and use a lot of hashtags? You do. Do you cover a worthy topic that I don’t see covered anywhere else? Yes! That’s why I follow you. You lift a topic that many of us wouldn’t see otherwise. Is it spam? No. It’s awareness building, representation, and visibility.
