Hi @efraim, @fd9a and @Z572, I just got a VisionFive2 for my home server and plan to run Guix System on it. Is it often for RISC-V systems to build packages locally? (I don’t have any faster machine of that arch and QEMU with binfmt runs really slowly and failed to build me certain packages when I tried to build an image.)

If there are often cache for base packages, may I ask you a favor of building a minimal image for the mentioned SBC?

Hi,
I had images, but recently deleted them. It will not be possible to build quickly yet.

@cnx @Z572 @efraim I'm using this kernel- https://git.sr.ht/~akagi/vf2-guix/tree/master/item/vf2-guix/packages/linux.scm#L63

usb and 100 Mb ethernet works, I don't currently have a wire and router to create a network. Visionfive 2 manifest is here - https://git.sr.ht/~akagi/guixrc/tree/master/magi/hosts/kokuou.scm#L53

What should be the rule for treesit-font-lock-rules to highlight a dts
node label?

The following doesn't work:

:language 'devicetree
:override t
:feature 'label
`((labeled_item
item:
(node name: (identifier) @font)))

Finally built a Guix image for visionfive2. 1 Gbit eth0 doesn't work yet and only half of the memory is detected, but it's already possible to write it to a flash drive and get a working system.

@w96k I haven’t used it for a long time, now I don’t have the opportunity to make a wired network, and for the USB Wi-Fi dongle, there are no builded drivers for guix. I didn't do any serious work on it, just compiled some guix packages. The rust bootstrap from version 1.54 to 1.67 took a couple of days. With debian I launched a graphical environment, but everything was quite laggy, especially the browser, it was not possible to watch YouTube. Pros - it works, low price, riscv.
