Hi @efraim, @fd9a and @Z572, I just got a VisionFive2 for my home server and plan to run Guix System on it. Is it often for RISC-V systems to build packages locally? (I don’t have any faster machine of that arch and QEMU with binfmt runs really slowly and failed to build me certain packages when I tried to build an image.)
If there are often cache for base packages, may I ask you a favor of building a minimal image for the mentioned SBC?
@w96k I haven’t used it for a long time, now I don’t have the opportunity to make a wired network, and for the USB Wi-Fi dongle, there are no builded drivers for guix. I didn't do any serious work on it, just compiled some guix packages. The rust bootstrap from version 1.54 to 1.67 took a couple of days. With debian I launched a graphical environment, but everything was quite laggy, especially the browser, it was not possible to watch YouTube. Pros - it works, low price, riscv.
