Nature and animal lover. Hiker, Alberta, Canada. Many pics from my recent trip to northern Scotland where you can't help but take an amazing picture. So far I am finding pixelfed one of the nicest, calmest, and most beautiful places on the internet

Picture taken by Sam Baardman (awesome musician and songwriter btw) at Lake Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He was pretty enthusiastic so maybe he really did see something like this.

Personally, at Athabasca, Alberta which is 54 degrees 43 minutes north, I only saw white streaks Saturday night - quite bright white streaks at times, but I've never seen the colours. Is this just me? But on my friend's iphone14, greens and reds were visible.

Can we just admit that the borealis doesn’t look like this in person? It’s just the cameras bringing out the colours. I always wondered why I could never see the vivid colours and dancing lights everyone talks about and seen in pics. Maybe north of 60 in winter they actually look like this.

Cat and dog meet - and play!

Wasn't sure how Hershey would react to a visiting friend's dog - He couldn't have been cooler about it. The pup really wanted to play, and Hershey obliged
