Hello, I want to self-hosted apps get requests from the users (mainly movies), and then I can find a download for it to move it to a jellyfin server. Maybe after that, it could be a little more automated to download stuff automatically 😃 Thx
Hey, I’m in the way of building my homelab already thinking of some apps to run on it… Truenas in a VM, a Debian VM to run docker. And on this point, do you a have some docker apps recommandations? Write down all the apps that worth looking at them 👇👇
I’ve heard of zabbix but what’s the difference with Grafana? If I’ve understand Tubearchivist is a self-hosted “YouTube app”? And how useful is a XMPP server?
I will check CheckMK but I think that uptime kuma is really bad for me, because this thing is very simple, does not have many options etc. So not a choice for me 🤷♂️
I would say Freetube, it’s very similar to android alternatives but in Linux, can proxy your traffic trough individious’ instances… The only downside is the 1080p limitation
It’s a bit strange because I’ve that I can play some videos @ 4k with no problems. And this limitation is here the most of the time, because you have to change the video format (mainly switch to webpm), and this format is not really supported by piped and individious…
Hi, I would know what are the differences between the vm-designed Kali Linux ISO and the “normal” one. Yes the vm-designed one is as “vm ready file”, already configure and all the stuff… but what are the real differences, for example it says on the website that the vm one is isolated, but is this already not the case...
Hello, I’m a bit new to advanced linux and programming stuffs… Can someone explain me why compiling exists and what this process does and how to do it in the principals situations (I’ve heard that you can use the “makepkg” command). Thx to everyone who replied.
humm… ok, and for example when you have the binaries of a file you have to compile it a last time, no? That’s my experience with aur, when you get the bin, you have to makepkg a other time
ooh ok, so I’ve always aked myself “what is for the source code?”. If I’ve understand, it’s all the code writes in C, C++, Rust, etc. And then if you want to use the programm you just have to compile the source code. It’s useful for the developer to do not have to compile for every OS. Is that right?
What's is the best way to download things?

Any YouTube client that doesn’t track me that works on Linux or in Firefox?
