Also, going to a hospital is meaningless. No one is denied access to hospitals - there's no screening here to decide if you have a "real" complaint.
In either case, yeah it sounds like assault with a non-toxic spray. But more likely "canned farts" since I can't find skunkwater on Amazon or in the bodega here.
