Thanks for the tips. I’ve been using the cloth filter - any tips on cleaning that? I saw something about sticking it in the freezer, not sure I did that right. I’ll try switching to the metal filter for now - much less mileage, so shouldn’t be a problem.

Just getting around to updating. Clogged filter. The cloth looks clean enough but go figure. Swapped in the metal one and back to an immediate draw after removing from the heat. Thanks for the assist on this, could have sworn I did that ages ago.

X is an interesting one for me. It ‘reintroduced’ me to the series. I grew up on VI, VII, VIII, & IX. X came out in middle school for me and I never picked up a ps2. Fast forward ~20 years, I meet my wife and X is her second favorite which got me to pick the series back up. Aside from sentimental, I enjoyed it. I wouldn’t say it’s top of the list for me, but it’s good game play and story. I think the sphere grid was a cool concept. The temples felt misplaced to me.

Unpopular opinion, but I think the voice acting was good considering it’s the first for the franchise and what else was being put out back then.

Finishing Final Fantasy 16 as we speak. Enjoying the story, reminiscent of the stories from the 2D games. Game play feels like hack n slash meets fighting game, which can be repetitive but engaging.

Edit: realized I made it sound like I didn’t like. It’s far from the classic game play but that’s to be expected. I think they nailed the game play for this. It made it feel more cinematic and epic.

(Controversial) Should lemmy.world close registrations at a certain user count?

To support decentralization and spread, should lemmy.world close registration at some point to prevent a performance overload due to too many users? Of course, if registration is disabled, there could be a hint placed somewhere near that from other instances you can interact with content on lemmy.world just like you had...

I get the point, but that limits the users’ right to select which community they want to join. I feel that is more important than preemptive decentralization of content. Hopefully there is a way to migrate communities from one instance to another. Should an instance get too large that would be a good feature to mitigate risk.

This! They provide estimates of the cost as well as current income so you get a sense of how bad/gold off they are. Just donated this morning.

You just described what i was looking for. I found myself using my old work laptop to get into some of those slower paced/less resource intensive games while on the couch with the dogs, but it's pretty awkward and clunky that way.

That's exactly what I was looking for. I just wrapped up loop hero, found myself wishing I was on a handheld with it.
