@mike @spurs Well, a) 30m isn't exactly cheap and b) he's still young (21) and not as fully formed like, e.g., Todibo. E.g. More like the cheaper Micky van de Ven than Tapsoba which were the two CBs we were after in Summer. Or Vicario vs Raya. Cheaper because younger, less proven, but still looking like a good bet.

@mike @spurs My view might be coloured by Spurs' relatively modest overall spend on players in comparison to other clubs. But you're right, €30m is fairly low for elite Premier League players. That's what we paid for Bissouma. Micky van de Ven and Porro were €40. Brennan €48. Romero €50.

Then again, Vicario and Udogie were only €18, and Maddison a bargain at €40 (if he can overcome his injuries).

So I guess I see €30 as quite reasonable for a quality young talent, rather than cheap. 😅
