hazel,

Sunsets are the only choc tactiles. Looking forward to the silent linears coming from lowprokb!

hazel,

An active counter doesn’t mean things aren’t being seen. I’ve been here and seen everything unfold.

This person isn’t acting alone. They’ve submitted stuff that is on topic and everyone else engaged. I’m not sure what action is expected of the mods.

hazel,

Things didn’t get this far from the actions of a single person, so if punishment is expected to be passed out then I don’t think it’s fair to punish only one person. Should the people submitting things to make fun of this person also have their posts locked and given a temp ban?

hazel,

I wasn’t trying to correct you at all, just acknowledging that the counter isn’t representative of everything.

hazel,

The submissions they made were on topic, just maybe a topic you didn’t want to discuss. I absolutely think this person misunderstood the intentions of the community and got defensive, but the community also dogpiled on this person. If maintaining a healthy community is the goal, we should accept responsibility for being a part of the problem.

I’m not against locking all the posts related to this issue, but I’m not gonna ban the person. I’m not gonna fight any of the other mods if they have different opinions.

hazel,

Is making a post asking if there are moderators “on topic”?

hazel,

So, you’re saying I should be temp banning you as well?

Left handed gamers, Whats out there? (lemmy.world)

I’m currently running an og ergodox right side only for gaming and am looking for something a bit more updated. Is there anything thats a split design that can run right side only, hot swappable switches, and USB-C? Better stabalizer support than the ergodox and backlit would also be a huge plus.

hazel,

unfortunately, using a Xiao makes this approach less than ideal. The Xiao’s battery connector is a pad on the back, reducing the amount of space a battery can fit.

hazel,

Since you’re going hotswap, you’ve already got about 3mm of space on the back of the PCB. if you make your case just a tad taller, your battery could fit under the PCB.

hazel,

Yeah, this shouldn’t be a problem at all. tzarc’s Djinn is an example of dual screens.

hazel,

These are Chicago Steno caps that I had printed in MJF from JLCPCB.

Which Kailh Choc switch are most similar to Razer's Optical Linear Reds?

I played around with a Huntsman Mini a bit in my local Micro Center and loved how smooth the linear optical reds felt. They had just the right amount of resistance too. The choc reds I’m using in my sofle right now feel too heavy and cumbersome to me at 50g. I want a switch that feels smoother and is slightly easier to...

hazel,

I use purpz on pinkies and thumbs, then silvers everywhere else. I can see how the 10gf differences between Reds and Silvers might not seem like a lot, but it was noticeable for me. There’s also the Pro Reds which are slightly lighter at 35gf. After that you’re into pink/purpz range which might be too light.

hazel,

crystal are 3pin, pro are 5pin

hazel,

Boards with surface mount diodes are most likely using 1N4148W SOD-123. I think there might be variations of the corne that don’t use surface mount diodes, so make sure the one you’re getting supports them.

Help me pick a keyboard

Some context: I write code and play videogames, primarily on Windows and currently on a Logitech K860, which I’ve been thinking of replacing with something that is less wide and/or two-piece. In looking into this I have discovered that there’s quite a number of keyboards that fit my criteria, so I could use some help...

hazel,

Corne is probably the top of my list for anyone that wants to get into ergo. They can be picked up from a lot of places and I think it has more users than any other ergo board, so finding support should be easy.

The Sofle is another popular board that would probably work well due to having more keys.

The Helix is a popular ortho split option.

If you’re lookin’ for something that is packed full of features, the Ximi from fingerpunch basically has it all.
