Completely wild request for recommendations:

Is there an open source tool that I could use to build interactive courses for undergrad students that doesn't require them to log in/create an account (removal of barriers), is accessible/inclusive design-wise, and allows for stuff like video embeds and interactive quizzes and activities?

As I write I realise GitHub could help but is a higher entry level thing for me. Boosts welcome! :boosts_ok_gay:​

This whole Meta / Threads thing has got me thinking about different communities. I'm on Instagram and I like it, but I have a lot more RL followers there, and family*, so I post differently. Not sure I want them seeing what I might post on Threads!

(* I was so annoyed when my sister created an Insta account for my mum so she could follow me without asking me. I love my mum and she likes seeing my photos, so fine, but it is a chilling effect, knowing your mum sees everything you post!)

@Funktious Hmm true...I tend to be way more locked down on Insta and it is the only really commercial social media thing I use these days...after Twitter (and Facebook before that) I just can't really commit or buy in to something that'll just fuck me over again. It's tough as they've built spaces that are so challenging to replicate but then that's what you get pumping millions into something.

Where is good to get news so you can stay updated without lining the pockets of oligarchs/transphobes/fascists/insert other?

Some of us have been chatting about how inadequate and unhelpful the questions in the official autism screening questionnaires are. Makes me wonder, what questions would you include?

I think I would go for:

Do you REALLY LIKE ENTHUSIASTIC EARNEST UNCOOL people?

Do you ask questions because you want to know something, and then get accused of being arrogant or insubordinate?

Do you often find yourself trying not to be too earnest or too serious when you're around others?

Do people tell you that you're quite different once they get to know you than you seem at first impression?

Do you need to talk out loud (to yourself or to another person) to process difficult emotions?

When you were a child (or now) did you really want to be an animal?

Do you find it easier to understand animals than humans?

Do you prefer to visit people, rather than having them in your own space?

Do people often think you're angry when you're just neutral?
