I don't like the idea of college education (especially in India) because it's kinda outdated. In my bachelor's, I was learning COBOL and assembly language, and I don't even know who uses them anymore.
Anyways, I was talking with this friend a while ago, and she was studying MBA. They had digital marketing as a subject, and they also had some classes on SEO. I asked her what she learned and she explained how SEO was in 2005.
SEO is s great example of why courses get out of date quickly. However when I did my masters we had practitioners come in and tell us about what they are working on and how they did it (this wasn't SEO before you ask). That's a way to get up to date / vocational knowledge into a course.
@simoncox This is a great way of learning. However, sadly colleges and teachers here are not that interested in things like these. I wish it was like that
@ilovechoclates_ their RSS feed is strangely constructed as only include roughly last 10 articles published. Each time they publish, the last one is taken out. On homepage you see all articles there but on RSS only 10. Feedly shall manage and keep (cache) pervious articles but that depends on.

i spent three weeks in India so i know a tiny bit. Didn't get to Shimla but don't forget i am a fan of narrow gauge railways. I did visit Ooty though!
@simoncox I see. Speaking of narrow gauges, I saw them when I visited Kangra. They look nice and hopefully, I'll travel in them someday. My dad talks about them sometimes.
It's funny how a lot of foreigners end up visiting South India. I barely know people who visit North India. And even if they do, they go to the Taj Mahal. I don't even find it that cool lol.
I know a lot of people who visited like Goa, and other parts of South India
You be you - your experiences are unique, as everyones is, and its always really useful to hear other peoples experiences! Don't worry about anyones expectations!

You could use Screaming Frog to find all the links in your site and then you have your changes list - cannot be that onerous! Otherwise you could give the remove URL tool in GSC a go - its only temporary, 6 months i have heard but that probably depends. Never measured that myself.
I discovered something else: this website was blocking me based on my location, and when I checked the response HTML, I could see the content. It's just that I can't see the content right in front of my screen.
As another internet user, what's the use of this? I can see that the response HTML is there, but why can't I see the content right in front of me?
I don't like the whole "blocking users based on their locations"
@simoncox I consider buying them, but then I think to myself "Do I really have a use for them to justify the purchase?", and other times I just wish I had a VPN lol

It was an interesting experiment but I spent hours editing for a 20 min show! I really appreciate what goes into a podcast production when I listen to others.
@simoncox I feel this to my core lol. Me and my friend wanted to make a podcast together because he is a dev, so the idea was to compare the mindset between a dev and an SEO on different topics. We tried recording one episode and we had such poor planning lol. We never published it, but I know how hard it is to produce podcasts.
I wish to come back to this idea someday in the future though
@simoncox I remember reading something about their credit system a while ago. SEOs were not happy about their pricing or something. But I didn't know that they raised their base price from $99 to $129
Do you think the rant people were doing a while ago is related to this price bump?
@simoncox@packted I am considering removing those pages in the future. They are service pages essentially. I still want to keep them around because I will remove them after I do the website redesign.
I also made the lead magnet page, but I have noindexed it right now because I don't want to make it show up in results for now.
