There are sets of Upgrade Clusters you can use to get everything upgraded to S-Class.

There should probably be a “Guides” post as well (or part of the “Resources” post) where guides like this are linked to…

Eventually those should get recreated on Lemmy.

S class freighter?

I started my save as a rookie and just accepted the first freighter I was offered. It was a B class and had plenty of base built with parts I hadn’t even unlocked yet which was great for me ‘cause I was so early-game. Finally decided to get around to upgrading to a top of the line freighter, and after a couple weeks just...

The possible class of the freighter is tied to the system’s economy. Same goes for the class of the ships you’ll find in the system.

If you want an S-Class freighter (or ship), you need to be in a T3 or Black Market economy.

I’d recommend reading this guide on finding Capital Freighters: reddit.com/…/how_to_acquire_capital_freighters_fr…

System Freighters are easier to find since they’re just flying around the system. They are also generally smaller than Capital Freighters when you get them, but they can be upgraded with Bulkheads just the same.

Yeah I loved the book and the movie is a guilty pleasure of mine.

True, I could pad the party with NPCs. I don’t know if I need to go all the way to 13, but it could help make up for any deficiencies. I don’t know that I want too many higher-level NPCs though. I don’t want the party to feel like they’re sidekicks to the real hero(es).

Whatever the party size, I think I can adjust the scenarios #1 and #2 pretty easily to match it. My concern is with scenario #3. I want it to feel epic without wiping them out. I need to find a way they can believable fend off an army with fortifications and still reach the “warlord” to kill him.

Once they do manage him to kill him, I can use magic as an excuse for the rest of the army retreating. Maybe he had something on him that gave him the ability/authority to lead and with him dying that ability/authority goes with him.
