it’s crazy how well doctor who series 1 uses the 45 minute episode format allowing every episode to breathe and have impactful moments, while series 14 every episode feels like they cut out so much and STILL had to mash everything in to barely fit into one episode
starting the dalek invasion of earth. it’s kinda of crazy the marked difference in quality. compared to anything in season one, the camera movement and blocking is INSANE and really not like anything we’ve seen in the show up until this point.
planet of giants… at least it’s not slow like the problem with all the other bad doctor who episodes.. quite the opposite really… that last episode was so bizarrely edited it feels like it was unfinished. so idk. fairly entertaining but otherwise kinda bad

@riley like the amount of times in season 1 where he’s like ok let’s split up ten feet away from eachother and then something happens to someone 💀💀 or in this story where he gets in the matchbox and it becomes a problem and then he’s like ok this time i’m going to get in the briefcase and the same problem happens 💀💀
