Working my way through "Clojure for the Brave and True", and starting to get a glimpse of that elegance all those lisp-ers have been talking about. A bit to hard to wrap my head around, but I smell possible rewards just around the corner... #clojure

No idea how I have lived without a #clipboardmanager before! So far very happy with this one: https://github.com/sentriz/cliphist

@kf @klli At arte.tv i found a very well designed dance performance. Dance, visuals, algorithms and motion capturing.

Alexander Whitley Dance Company: Anti-Body

kf,

@kandid @klli thanks for the tip! Hope to have some time to check it out this weekend.

No way to start an ordered list from an arbitrary number in #markdown, it seems. Guess I'm reduced to taking notes in #latex... Good to get back into practice with that beast.

kf,

@forteller agreed! Although I tend to agree with the opposition when it comes to spreadsheets. I like autoformatting in those cases. I don't like it so much in markdown, though...

After a few months of being back on #pipewire again, I have updated a couple of things in my article from way back when I first made the (abortive) attempt to transition from jack/pulseaudio...

Made with noise and 2 digital video feedback loops.

#feedback #noise

(The original animation looks much crisper. But will be as mp4 file many 100 KByte large. So here is the highly compressed version.)

A rotating noisy pattern in gray scale. Plus an overly of rectangles inverting the brightness.

kf,

@kandid which library are you using?

kf,

@kandid very interesting. I've started digging into the lisps lately, but still very much on a beginner's stage. Mostly some scheme for sound processing and music score notation.

kf,

@kandid Are you using a similar kind of parser that you used in singularity_reduced?

Crap... turns out #orgzly doesn't support folders for the notes, resulting in a bunch of duplicate files. Does anybody know of a good #orgmode app on #android that will respect my file hierarchy?

kf,

@FTWynn wasn't aware of organice! Looks neat ๐Ÿ™‚

Going through a period of relearning #vim... Realising how many antipatterns I've developed, I need to slow down a bit and take some time to do things in a more ergonomic way. It helps, fx, to set relativenumber, so that I can go 10j instead of jjjjjjjjjj...

Using search strings instead of jumps help.

Also installed which-key.nvim. Yes.

kf,

@benjaminhollon good idea!

kf,

@benjaminhollon Yes, it's pretty awesome! Only using it for viewing keys bindings, but you could also use it to manage all your keys as well. I prefer to do that in my plugin config, though, trying to keep things that belong together grouped together... lazy.nvim has some pretty nifty tools for that.

One of the beautiful things about living the terminal life is simplicity.

Co-worker: This otherwise incredibly cool thing is annoying me because I have to flip between my VSCode windows to find it.

Me: I run @neovim and, it being a TUI, it just pops a new buffer and I'm in business :) :partyparrot:โ€‹

kf,

@feoh @neovim Have a similar feeling these days, watching my MA students working in google docs, and I go "ooooh how easy this whole formatting procedure would be with a bit of markdown and pandoc and, of course, neovim".
