Archivists Announce Discovery of Veritable Nannertrove of Bunnyville Historical Documents

Bunnyville (BNN2) - The Bunnyville Historical Society has announced the discovery of a previously unknown room in the oldest reaches of the basement in the Bunnyville Capitol building. An industrious bunny was digging around for fun and accidentally dug their way into the hidden room, which was full of old photos and news...

lagomorphlecture,

That’s a great idea! Too bad nobody thought of it before and now here we are lol

lagomorphlecture,

I personally strongly prefer pants but I support those who don’t want to wear them (as long as they’re wearing a dress or something in public). At home though, you do you, whatever.

lagomorphlecture,

I enjoy it but different people prefer different types of exercise and sometimes try the wrong one for them then give up. Some people really do love cardio, some feel amazing when they lift weights and get stronger, some prefer a group class or sport. If you’re doing something solo though I HIGHLY recommend adding in music or an audiobook or podcast, especially if you’re feeling like it isn’t for you. That can help if you’re getting bored. Then, switch it up. If you didn’t like the elliptical, try a weight lifting session. If the weights weren’t your cup of tea, try a yoga class or a free yoga video if you just want to try it at home without so much expense and commitment.

lagomorphlecture,

I agree. I hate clicking on something only to find it’s behind a paywall but someone usually summarizes or provides the entire article in the comments. At least that way you have access to information coming out of those high quality subscription sources, instead of getting all our news off free sites with a clickbait title and 2 sentences with grammatical errors for the body.

lagomorphlecture,

I still can’t wrap my head around why certain political factions latched onto not wearing a mask as a political rallying cry. Like…why do you want to kill the people you need to vote for you? I can’t understand.

lagomorphlecture,

Not really. They were told by their talking heads that they should be against masks but that doesn’t make sense. The powerful people need the votes right? We haven’t descended fully into fascism yet, just mostly…so why would they push that narrative knowing it would kill people who would vote for them? Was it a calculated risk to attempt to kill more of the other guys? I’m just confused about how that worked in their minds, and why they wouldn’t have looked for some other narrative that wouldn’t endanger their voters so much. I get that they don’t care about the people who cast the votes, but they do care about the votes.

lagomorphlecture,

Ok that actually makes a lot of sense. Thank you!

Does the reddit style format breed toxicity?

Does the reddit style format inherently make for a toxic environment? Or is it a culture of toxicity from the influx of reditors? For lack of a beter example, on stackoverflow, when someone down votes you, it comes with a comment saying how to improve. On mastodon, people can’t downvote you. These platforms are a joy to use,...

lagomorphlecture,

The only place on here that I’ve noticed downvotes is on comments that have been obviously social media shills (reddit or meta) or right wing type comments that are not the type of thing a community should support in my opinion. I’m not saying you’re doing either of those things and if you’re being downvoted in another context I don’t know why.

That said, downvotes shouldn’t really get you down. If you’ve said something awful then you deserve them and should reassess your outlook if you were unaware that your views or attitude were unpleasant. If you’re getting downvoted on a tech related thing then I don’t know what that’s all about but I would try not to worry about it too much because it doesn’t really affect your life, it’s just a fake internet down arrow.

lagomorphlecture,

Oooooh yeah people love their apple and I think you have your answer!
