After finally giving @obsidian a try and quickly coming to the conclusion that it is incredibly well suited for the way I like to document and organize my thoughts, I have been trying to make it feel more “at home” on macOS and was happy that one of the first search results pointed me to a wonderful article by @konstantin who documented the steps he took to achieve exactly that 🤓
The timing was fantastic with the article being published last week shortly before Zenitizer’s one-year App Store anniversary. The perfect "birthday present" for my app 🥹 Thank you!!
Hey internet friends 🤗 I have a big announcement to make and this time it doesn't have anything to do with apps 🤓
Last month, our daughter was born and it is so incredible and wonderful to have her in the family now. I haven't been very active here nor done any work recently, as my wife and I were busy getting to know the little one and enjoying quality time to bond as a young family 🧑🧑🧒 🥰
PS: As many of you know I am very fond of dad jokes, so now I am officially entitled to make ‘em 😜
So, I used videos for an In-App Event for the first time, but it looks pixelated initially… I understand it's due to video compression, but I’d rather see the poster frame until it has buffered in higher resolution...? 🤔
Does anyone have experience with videos in In-App Events? Any thoughts on whether videos might help improve conversion (or get more attention) compared with still images? 🤓
Good news everyone! simctl status_bar overrides are working again with Xcode 15 🥳
Just last week, I tediously did the whole, ridiculous “setting my Mac's system time to 9:41am and then frantically trying to take as many screenshots as possible in a minute" thing again when simctl would've done the trick 🫠
Maybe everyone else was already aware (in that case sorry for the noise) but I figured others might've missed this too, so I wanted to spread the good news 🤗
@ricobeck@daveverwer Yeah I already starred that on Github and was prepared to set it up when I was doing my research that just led me to my recent, joyous discovery 😜 (was mostly hesitant until now because, at least on watchOS, it doesn't help AFAIK)
But thanks, it definitely is a good tool to be aware of!
I have to admit that I still haven’t started localizing any of my apps yet but I plan to do it really soon (for real, this time!) and I am so excited to see @TranslateKit features like this because it means the whole process will be so much easier when I finally get around to it 🤓
Today marks the release of @daypeek's biggest update yet: edit your schedule and add new calendar events with natural language input 🗓️🪄
While I plan to prioritize @zenitizer for some time to come, I do plan to eventually port Day Peek to #iOS, #watchOS and #macOS 🤓 (Please let me know, if you'd be interested in beta testing that if/when available)
Fun fact: being born on 03/03 really helped when we moved to the US, as I never had to get used to entering my date of birth differently on forms, since MM/DD and DD/MM are the same 🤓
